And we're in the homestretch, with our next model being a reindeer.
This is pretty similar to the elephant, in that they're both mini animal models built with standard bricks. ...But it's a little less impressive. Though not by much.
I don't like what they used for legs, just these 1x3 plates that are attached to the sides of the reindeer. These REALLY easily fall off and are near impossible to move without them breaking off. I really preferred the "pipe legs" of the elephant.
And this white brick under the head just looks silly. I guess it's supposed to represent neck fluff, but with how the reindeer doesn't have a lower jaw, it looks like it's a wide, cartoonish grin. I guess it's happy it crossed the freeway during the busiest time of year without getting pummeled.
On the other hand, I do like the antlers, especially since they figured out a way to give him two prongs. It really shows how creative Mega Bloks can be with their own inventions, and I wonder if there's ever been a set that only used these "pipe" pieces?
The little white tail is a nice touch as well. ...Though they also included a rather large hole underneath it, so... Don't think too hard about it...
Overall, this is an ok set. Not one of my favorites, but a very creative design regardless. All the elements of Christmas are coming together, and we only have 4 days left, so there's nowhere to go but up! ...Right?
