The Brick Miser: Advent Calendar 2016: Mega Bloks Despicable Me: Day 4

Day 4: Gingerbread Man

Shoot, I got so wrapped up in writing for my next review, I completely forgot to open the next door. Anyway, Day 4 gives us this Gingerbread Man.

It's cute, considering it's made with only 8 pieces. It has a little face on its arch brick and buttons down its middle, so they got the idea of a Gingerbread Man down at least.

However, because they're using standard "headlight" pieces to form the torso so the arms can connect on either side, the buttons are actually more in the center of the left brick as opposed to the center of the figure, so it's distractingly off...

Also, a bit of a quality issue, as you can clearly see where they broke off the sprue when taking these bricks off the machine. Again, this is something I see quite often with lesser-known brick sets that I'm disappointed to see with a more major company...

And this is more of a nitpick, but I think it would have looked better with rectangle bricks as opposed to tiny round pegs for arms and legs. As such, it looks like someone has already been chewing on it... And I suddenly have the urge to reference Tim Burton's Hansel & Gretel, which is something no sane person should use as a reference...

Overall, it's ok. It's not as good as what we've seen so far, but it's cute and it resembles what it's supposed to. Let's see if we can say the same with the next window...
