And today, they've finally given us the Christmas Tree! ...And what a letdown it is...
First of all, it's not very interesting. Just stack some green, sloped bricks on top of each other and boom, that's a tree. It's the equivalent of blowing up one of those long balloons and saying it's a snake. Or stacking some gray blocks on top of each other and saying it's a robot.
But put a pumpkin on top and you can call it a golem...
Secondly, it's tiny. On the box, the Minions have to stack to reach the top, and they just barely make it.
Here, they tower over it!
Heck, the tall Minion is taller than the tree! If that's not false advertising, I don't know what is.
The present won't even fit under it! What is even the point of including a tree that's shorter than the minifigures, comes with no accessories, and looks like one of those tree cookie cutters more than a Christmas tree?
So no, I don't like this one. I would have preferred it if they gave us a molded tree or something, because then I'd at least understand that they couldn't adjust it too much and it would have looked less lazy. Or at the very least, put some snow blocks somewhere on top! If they've just botched one of the main symbols of Christmas, I don't know how much better the rest of these models can be...
