The Brick Miser: Advent Calendar 2017: Mega Bloks Monster High: Day 13

Day 13: Ski Rack

Well, at least after giving us ANOTHER pair of skis, they included the most logical step afterwards: a Ski Rack! ...A pretty morbid-looking ski rack at that, even for this franchise!

And yes, it does what it's advertised as. ...Sort of. The skis have to practically lie down in order to fit, so it's not as much of a ski rack as it is just something to put the skis in. It would have been nice if it was big enough for the skis to stand side-by-side and actually hang from the pole above. ...But I'm just picky like that.

The base is an interesting color design, sort of ice blue mixed with snow white*. I'm not sure if this is an actual, physical base for the rack in their universe, or if it is actually snow and ice that's built up around the rack's poles. It is a nice color if nothing else.

*Yeah yeah, make your own jokes in your own head. I want to stay as far away from Ever After High or Descendants as I can...

But then we come to the main feature: The fact that the barriers on either side are full skeleton arms! With bows tied around their wrists just to try to make this cute! ...I especially love it when horror comedies use design choices like this, especially when the undead is an established "species" in their universe, as now I can't help but wonder "What poor sap now has to go the rest of eternity without any arms all because they needed to pointlessly remind others that they live in a cursed, morbid world?" ...Even kiddie franchises like Monster High are sadistically scary when you overthink them...

But if that wasn't enough, the connectors for the top pole are human skulls! Smaller bones than the arms, so you could argue that these are the skulls of dead infants! ...I might just have to check out this series for real, if they can get away with comedically morbid stuff like this on a regular basis!

In fact, I'm just going to stop this review right here. ...Not that there's much else to talk about. It's not the most interesting model we've gotten so far, but WOW is it morbid if you think about it! ...This just made buying the calendar totally worth it! We're over halfway there, let's see what other creepy designs they can throw at us!
