The Brick Miser: Advent Calendar 2017: Mega Bloks Monster High: Day 15

Day 15: Frankie Stein Accessories

Sorry for the lack of updates. It's a long story involving Idaho, college winter break, slippery roads, and unbelievably slow internet. Let's play a bit of catch up.

As with the last two figures, we once again got the accessories right after we opened the figure! ...Unfortunately, Frankie Stein's accessories feature a lot of repeats from the other two, so there's not a whole lot to talk about with this set.

Though I guess they fit better than Clawdeen's set.

First, we have the standard earmuffs, just a slightly lighter shade of pink, and another version of Draculaura's glasses colored green. ...I'm glad we had this talk. Let's move on.

Next, we have Frankie's version of a bracelet, which looks more like a scrunchie or a loom band than Draculaura's cuffs or Clawdeen's fashion statement. I'm not familiar with the show, so I don't know if this is in character for her, but I guess someone built out of a variety of different parts would be interested in weaving together other things. ...Though loom bands are as much of an abomination as she is...

The only actually new thing to talk about with her accessories is her tie. ...Yes, a tie. Not a scarf, like you'd expect for a winter-themed set, but a fancy dress-up tie that doesn't match the rest of what she's wearing...

Ok, this is something I actually CAN verify she wears, based on a quick image search, so I understand why they included one. ...HOWEVER, it's completely the wrong color and pattern, gray with an image of a bow, instead of the polka-dotted version here with the Monster High logo. What they packaged her with doesn't match her outfit at all and looks a lot more formal than the casual plaid she's wearing. ...So, sorry guys, but this is an instance where attention to detail makes the figure look WORSE than if you left it out.

Still, nice touch with the electrodes on the sides! ...Even if you didn't bother painting them.

Overall, Frankie's accessories are fine, even if we've seen them before. The earmuffs fit much better than Clawdeen's did, the glasses look cute, and the loom band gives her a bit of character. ...The tie, I could take or leave...

And now, we have a full set of fully accessorized Monster High girls, all dressed up with nowhere to go but downhill skiing! ...I assume that's what they're going to do anyway. We still need another set of skis. ...There's going to be another set of skis behind one of these doors that they included as filler, isn't there? ...Well, we'll tackle it when we get there, I guess.
