The Brick Miser: Advent Calendar 2017: Mega Bloks Monster High: Day 22

Day 22: Santa Hats & Random Accessories

On the 22nd of Christmas, these monsters gave to me: One last pack of accessories! ...At least, I HOPE it's the last pack.

...Once again, the contents of this window raise questions in my mind. Why did they mix Santa hats with a purse/ascot combination? What do these things have to do with each other? This just once again makes me believe that they were running out of spaces with too many accessories left to include, so they just stuffed them in the remaining few windows. ...Which, if that's the case, why didn't they just bundle "like" items together? I wouldn't have complained if I got all the skis on the same day, for example...

Alright, enough conspiracy theories. Let's take a look at the stuff, starting with the Santa hats. ...Well, they're as advertised. two very rubbery red-and-white fur hats to put on the heads of whatever figures you deem to celebrate the Christmas holiday. ...Does Santa even exist in this universe? I always thought the Grim Reaper gave them presents or something along those lines...

Even though these are obviously meant to be worn over the figures' hair, only Draculaura has a compatible hairstyle. It technically works with Frankie as well, but I highly doubt even a ponytail that thick could support a hat for very long...

...And yet, without the hair, the hat's too big.

Clawdeen has a bit more success. ...After you force it down around the ears...

So that means that only two figures get Santa hats, while Frankie is left out. ...And seeing as how it only properly works with Draculaura, you have to wonder why they bothered making two of them in the first place...

Interestingly, there's a hole in the top of the hats. I didn't see anything in this collection that would fit(both functionally and stylistically) in that peg, but I'm assuming it's there for bows and such that come with other Monster High sets.

And no, I can't put the hairpiece peg on top of the hat. I tried, and it just kept falling off, so it refuses to even let me take a picture jokingly...

Next, we have this bag and scarf/ascot. ...So two figures are meant for tacky Santa hats and one of them just went and bought a Prada bag with a free bonus? I guess there are snobs even according to other snobs in this series...

The bag is a pretty nice design, keeping with the morbid nature of the franchise by being shaped like a coffin... But it has the Monster High logo on the front, so everything's wonderful again.

And yes, it's hollow, so you can put stuff inside.

The other thing(that I had a REALLY hard time standing up) is this gold scarf/ascot. ...I really can't tell which it is. It's a nice design, with the two ends hanging down in front, but I can't tell what purpose it serves. ...Nor who it's for, since the box simply has it and the bag over to the side.

Since it matches her shoes and bracelet, I guess Clawdeen gets the scarf. And the bag, since she comes across as somebody who's so "in style", she buys the latest accessory every other week.

And that's what the calendar has given us today. Two Santa hats, of which only one works with a figure, and accessories for the one too cool to join in the holiday spirit with her friends.

Now, if you'll excuse them, they need to get their rest and wait for this guy to show up.
